Diaper Boxes ... Diaper Boxes...Everywhere!!!

Like most moms, I feel like I am constantly changing diapers! With all that diaper changing leads to a hoarding of diaper boxes. I have an issue with throwing them away! It seems very wasteful and I can put them into a better use. So I relied on Pinterest to see what I can do with them and fell in love with the idea of fabric covered storage bins.

So I turned this:
 Into this:

The fabric was left over from when I decorated my daughter's nursery so I decided to attempt this nap time. It was far easier than I thought it would be. I did not do any measuring really. I simply just stretched the fabric and used my hot glue gun! I did trim away extra fabric so that it was not bulky looking around the edges. It was really easy! I finished the entire project in 45 mins! Leaving me time to make dinner while she was still napping!

We are currently in the process of finishing our basement and can see many of these in the space down there. Maybe even getting extra fancy and attempting lids.

The only down side of this project is that the box is just a little big to fit in the cubby holes of storage furniture. So maybe a little measuring and extra cutting to have that happen. I really like the idea of this fabric covered boxes instead of the canvas ones that they sell in stores. Why do I keep adding more projects to my list!

Here it is in her nursery!

Our 9 month loves

9 month loves

Our little sweetie is almost 9 months old! I do not know when that happened! I said the same thing to my husband the other night! This is a very exciting time (as I watch my little one room roll across the living room and to underneath the dining room table)! She is rolling, spinning herself in circles with her arms but not yet really crawling. However, when she starts I am in trouble!

Here are some of our favorites! I cannot get enough of these outfits from Osh Kosh and Carters! They are so bright and remind me of spring. I need to get my spring fix somewhere because it seems that here in Chicago winter will never end! They are calling for even more snow this weekend! So sad! So we will force spring with these outfits!

Glass bottles are heavenly! I am still nursing/pumping and these make it very easy to do! My husband actually found them because he was getting sick of having to wait for a bottle to warm up. These warm 3x faster than the medela bottles and I do not have to worry about the bad plastic stuff when he leaves it in the bottle warmer to long! He does not leave these in to long because they do get HOT!!!

Violet is loving being a free woman when we go to the store or out for dinner, thanks to the cart cover! She has mastered the sit and can hang out at a restaurant with the best of them! However she is such a peanut that the extra padding helps her not slide down. Sometimes after a bit, I throw in a blanket in the back to give her a little more support. At the restaurant, when she is not staring you down for your food, the Plum puffs will keep her happy as well!

Playskool's Elephant is a fun toy that she got for Christmas. She loves it! She loves the balls that come with it and she has already learned how to make it start playing the music. The mirror we have had for a long time, since she was 3 months old! She has always liked it but now she plays peek-a-boo with it by herself. I find her all the time laughing at herself. She loves all the tags on the sides and constantly feels/plays with them. The Banana is actually a toothbrush but she uses it as a teether. She loves it!
